Just A Quick Update
I'm running out of time, really. I'm still processing my thoughts in order to get myself on the move and finish Sequence Treatment that I'm doing. I'm actually ecstatic about this. I'm doing pretty good on my Mowelfund classes. The storyline that I submitted to Sir Nick was well-recieved. He even noted that my story was, "So far, the most perfectly-written story. Good Work!" I quote that from Mr. Nick Deocampo. He handwritten it. I shall keep this for years. I swear to God.
He then shifts his gear by noticing how shallow ('mababaw') my story was. But I guess with a few tweaks and stitches, I'd be able to patch this up. The second paper that I passed--which was the Character sketch was also well-recieved. He gave me 3 stars (this is the highest.) and went on to say that I should keep working on it and develop the minor characters as well, which I already did on my mind.
I haven't started yet on my Sequence treatment and The Sampayan. But I'll get to that. I'm just trying to relax this first-half of the weekend. Gigs to go and films to watch. I'm sorry for the quick update. Hahaha, I'll get to this later on by posting my Quiapo experiences, The great great great DVDs I got (including Godard's Band Of Outsiders 'Bande a part' on a Criterion Collection series) Well, I'll leave you here. I'd be posting my thoughts and notes on Day 2-Day 6 of Mowelfund workshop. Au revoir!
Oh, I almost forgot... HEROES update as well! OMG OMG OMG! Episode 19 was.... haaay.

Teh Reel Me
Teh Reel Me is my attempt to keep teh memories from the scriptwriting workshop in Mowelfund that I am currently attending. This is also where I will keep reviews of films and television series that I'm gonna watch over the course of this stupid-ass boring summer.
Basically this is where all my Film and Television blurbs and rants are. My
livejournal will be housing my music, literature and emotional blurbs.
Teh Blogboy.
Hello, My name is Shinji. Yes, that is my real name. Apparently, I was named by my father's friend in Japan who was also named "Shinji" because of the fact that he is japanese. I live somewhere in Muntinlupa. Graduated grade school in a nice quiet Catholic School. I turned evil when I went to high school at Muntinlupa Science High School. Right now, I'm enrolled at the University of the Philippines - Los Banos as a BS Nutrition undergraduate student. Because of UP, I am now the next antichrist and I would probably plant a bomb somewhere. Kidding. But for this summer, I'll be juggling classes at the Mowelfund Scriptwriting Workshop and seeking my way into UP Diliman or Manila [or find a way to remain in Elbi's warmth forever.]
I'm a big cinemaphile and a couch potato. Whatever that means. I used to sing in a band, but we decided to call it quits before we played on a gig. I get addicted to things like buying pirated DBD's and collecting orignal CD's or Chuck Palahniuk books.
Someday, I am going to be a filmmaker.
I swear to God, I will.
Teh Films.
I basically watch anything I could get my hands into. I'm a big fan of cheesy pinoy movies or anything that's really slapstick. I can tolerate Sam Milby's irritating smile, as long as he falls in love with someone before the movie ends. I love film noir. Humphrey Bogart makes you want to live your life in black and white. Casablanca is my favorite romantic film. I <3 everything Quentin Tarantino makes, the man's a genius. I try to watch tagalog films from the 70's, whenever they're on cable. I tend to appreciate what others don't in terms of films. I laugh at decapitated heads and mutilated faces. I'm quiet when I'm alone in a cinema, but I'm really pumped when someone's with me. Cult films are the best.
I tend to look idiotic when I'm framing the world using my two hands. Or when my eyes zoom in and out or pan left to right.
Teh Boob Tube.
Honestly, I'm a couch potato. I can spend hours in front of the television, my dvd player or my computer just watching these shows. I used to watch a lot of telenovelas, but because I can't tolerate commercials I don't do it anymore. Thanks to ABS transferring their telenovelas into DVDs, I can watch them now without commercials. A Lot of shows belong to my DVD collection. I <3 teen dramas. 24. Sitcoms. Heroes! and Judy Ann-Piolo extravaganza. Reality shows, I try to watch them every week.
